Stylish and well made
I bought these for my son, who needed eyewear that will protect his eye from an impact after an eye accident. He doesn't like the RecSpec styling and refuses to wear those. He finds these stylish and wears them for baseball and soccer games. They don't slip off, have resisted scratching so far and the frame seems to be holding up fairly well a year into wearing them. They are pricey, but the lens is polycarbonate and impact resistant so it's worth it for the protection and if it means he'll wear them. As for fit, he was 12 and is a tall but thin kid and these fit nicely in terms of width. The half jackets have a slightly smaller frame than other Oakleys and are good for people with thinner faces. If you have a large face or head, I'd recommend a different style.

Good fit, but a few flaws
If you have to replace the rubber pieces, (the nose piece has a tendency to fall off and you have to get a whole kit to replace,) it can be difficult. After struggling to replace the ear piece rubber with I used a drop of dishwashing soap in the ends and they slid right on. They were initially stretched a bit but they conformed. The installation of the lenses take some time to master.

TORNADO PROOF!
My friend and his brother both have these glasses. Their house was recently leveled by the tornado in AL and after digging through the rubble for several days, we found both pairs of Oakley sunglasses unbroken and in great condition save a few minor lens scratches. After seeing what they can go through and still survive, I bought myself a pair! Can't wait till they get here!Update: Well, it's been a month since the tornado now and I've been working over at my friend's place all day, every day clearing debris and rebuilding. I've worn my Oakleys every day on the work site and so far I love them! All my friends and co-workers "ooh and ah" over them. They provide excellent shade and protection. They sit really nicely on my face (not like those cheap "Ironmans" that pinch your temples and ride up on your nose). After awhile, I forget they're even there! Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses are great
I love these Sunglasses, very clear to see while driving and blocks the brightest sunlight. I don't need regular glasses and I can't stand putting anything on my face. But with these Sunglasses are so comfortable, I forget I even have them on. The best thing I like about these is the quality. Most sunglasses I've owned have either have gotten bent or broke within 6 months. These I have dropped a couple times and no damage, not even a scratch on the lenses. I would recommend them to anyone.update: It's been over a year now. The sunglasses are still good as ever. I can't leave home without them. I have never had a pair of sunglassses last this long without something getting damaged. Just perfect so far!

The Last Pair of Sunglasses You'll Buy (Unless Someone Steals Them)
Normally I don't spend alot of money on sunglasses, but after getting tired of cheap pairs breaking, I decided to go with these. They're light weight, yet very sturdy. Duriabilty
In May of 2007 I purchased these same sunglasses from Oakley.com. At the time these glasses were going for over 120 bucks. I recieved these glasses a few weeks later. And to say the least these glasses are tough. They survived two roadside bombs and countless engagement from the enemy. And I still have them today, I wear them to work everyday even though they are scratched all to crap. But I love them. Thanks I hope this helps.

Amazing
These sunglasses fit so comfortably that you won't feel like you're wearing sunglasses at all. The lenses provide for crisp, clear vision and absolute UV protection. I love these sunglasses, and honestly, I think they really do take the place of 10 or so cheap pairs of $10 Wal-Mart sunglasses, so don't let the price detour you.
